Poem #3-2012 One of the Secrets

I will tell you
one
of the secrets.

It is to stand
silently and gaze
at a full moon
on a clear night
until the word
"AWESOME"
arises spontaneously
in your soul
and then - suddenly -
the world will make sense.

But only for a moment.

And that is just one
of the secrets -
finding one will reveal
the others.

  1. I also have those 'secrets' but I call them 'glimpses of truth', And yes, one per year leads to several, eventually one or more a week. I am so old, that I'll be gone before I can reach one-a-day! Seriously.

But I LOVE when these happen--without gritting my teeth, clenching my fist, and all that anxiety. I let thwm--now--just HAPPEN! (And they do!)

    PEACE!

  2. If the universe makes sense for even a moment you're doing something right!

  4. Reminds me of nights staring out over an ocean, in the middle of 100 acres of alfalfa, of looking up in Harlem, of finding that moment you so eloquently describe.

    Cheers,
